Salvation is found only through the name of Jesus.

One crucial aspect we must focus on is understanding the powerful name through which all men can be saved, according to Scripture.

The Bible clearly presents the perspective that salvation is found exclusively in the name of Jesus. Without this name, no one can be saved.

While there may be many significant names, there is one name above all others—the name of Jesus. As stated in Acts 4:12, “And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

The Apostolic Appeal to the Romans: A Warning Against Divisive Individuals

In his letter to the Romans, the Apostle Paul cautions against individuals who create divisions within churches, families, and workplaces.

He emphasizes the importance of being vigilant and advises believers to not only be aware of such people but also to distance themselves from them. Romans 16:17]I appeal to you, brethren, to be on your guard concerning those who create dissensions and difficulties and cause divisions, in opposition to the doctrine (the teaching) which you have been taught. [I warn you to turn aside from them, to] avoid them.

It is crucial to stay away from those who foster discord, as their influence can undermine unity and harmony

Avoid Individuals Like John Mark, the Unreliable Mission Assistant

In ministry, it is essential to recognize that not everyone can be trusted. Even those who serve as your assistants may act contrary to your directives.

It is crucial to refrain from embarking on missionary journeys with individuals who resemble John Mark, who abandoned Paul and Barnabas during their initial mission.

During their first missionary journey, Paul the Apostle and Barnabas were powerfully used by God. However, they encountered a significant challenge: their assistant, John Mark, left them while they were fulfilling their mission. Acts 13:13]Now Paul and his companions sailed from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia. And John [Mark] separated himself from them and went back to Jerusalem,

This teaching reminds us of the importance of steadfast commitment in ministry regardless of what we go through on our spiritual mission trips.

Let us learn from this lesson and choose our companions wisely on the path of service.

The Purpose of Paul’s Missionary Journey Was to Preach the Gospel

Having engaged in Christian missions across various countries, I have come to realize that the experiences you anticipate may differ significantly from reality during your mission trips. In some locations, you may be warmly welcomed, while in others, your visit may not be honored as you had hoped.

The Bible illustrates the purpose of Paul’s missionary journey, particularly in relation to his first mission. Often, when embarking on your first mission, you may not fully grasp what to expect or experience.

During Paul’s first missionary journey, he traveled with Barnabas and John Mark as his assistant. Notably, this journey led to a significant moment when a governor embraced faith in the Lord, marking a fundamental achievement in Paul’s mission.Acts 13:12]Then the proconsul believed (became a Christian) when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished and deeply touched at the teaching concerning the Lord and from Him.

Reflective Questions About the Teaching

a) Who accompanied Paul on his first missionary journey?

b) Have you participated in Christian missions? If so, what was your experience?

c) Where did the Apostle Paul travel during his first missionary journey?

d) Who deserted Paul and Barnabas during their missionary journey?

e) Does the Bible provide a reason for John Mark’s departure from Paul and Barnabas during their mission?

Financial Support for Paul from the Church in Philippi

Spiritual leaders need to be financially supported

Supporting someone doesn’t require vast resources; even the smallest contributions can make a significant impact.

Historically, the church in Philippi was the first to financially support Paul during his mission work, setting a precedent among all the churches that aided him. Their generosity extended to his time in Thessalonica, enabling Paul to effectively advance the divine mandate entrusted to him. This partnership in ministry exemplifies how collective support can empower individuals to fulfill their God-given purposes.Philippians 4:15
[15]And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up [a debit and credit] account in giving and receiving except you only.

Do not underestimate the power of prophecy

Regardless of our individual beliefs and affiliations, we should never doubt the prophetic messages we receive from the LORD.

When you receive a prophetic word from the Lord, it is essential to approach it with unwavering faith.

Trust that the prophetic word delivered to you by a man of God will indeed come to fruition. The Bible recounts a situation where the prophet Elisha declared that two measures of barley would be sold for a single shekel. One of the officials dismissed this prophetic message in his heart. As a result, Elisha warned him that because of his doubt, he would witness the prophecy’s fulfillment but would not benefit from it.
2 Kings 7:1-2
[1]THEN ELISHA said, Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will sell for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria!2]Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, If the Lord should make windows in heaven, could this thing be? But Elisha said, You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.

Let us remember the importance of faith in the face of prophecy, ensuring we do not despise these divine messages.

God wants you to navigate your journey towards marriage with purpose and clarity

From a reconciled perspective, we note that one of the issue that many people grapple with is the concept of marriage, particularly as some are earnestly praying for guidance and resolution in their marital paths.

Whether you are currently married or single, I believe this teaching will provide valuable insights to help you navigate your journey towards marriage with purpose and clarity.

There are key principles that married individuals should honor to truly experience the blessings of God in their lives. Foremost among these is the biblical expectation for spouses to meet each other’s sexual needs. 1 Corinthians 7:3]The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights (goodwill, kindness, and what is due her as his wife), and likewise the wife to her husband.

The husband is called to fulfill the sexual needs of his wife, just as the wife is called to fulfill the sexual needs of her husband. Neglecting this duty can lead to a form of divine disobedience, which goes against the teachings of the Lord.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) According to variation of note, what are some of the thing’s that married people should observe?

b) Give a realised perspective in view to our teaching

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus am grateful for this divine wisdom have recieved concerning marriage in Jesus name Amen

God is calling us to depend on the power of the Holy Spirit .

If the Apostle Paul relied on the power of the Holy Spirit to achieve his remarkable feats, then why shouldn’t we?

We must trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill our aspirations, for without this reliance, our dreams may never come to fruition.

Regardless of the challenges we face, we should steadfastly depend on the power of the Holy Spirit. Reflecting on Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, we recognize that it is both profound and instructive, providing essential insights that the church should embrace. In 1 Corinthians 2:4, Paul emphasizes his approach during his time with them: he relied solely on the power of the Holy Spirit. He states, “And my language and my message were not set forth in persuasive words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the Holy Spirit and power.” This illustrates that true influence comes not from eloquence, but from the divine strength of the Holy Spirit at work within us.

Bribery

One of the things we recognize in our understanding is the issue of giving bribes. The act of offering bribes, particularly to law enforcement officials, has regrettably become a common practice.

You may be surprised to learn that even some Christians engage in this behavior today. When Apostle Paul was brought before Governor Felix , he was repeatedly asked to provide a bribe. Despite being pressured, Paul refused to comply. Acts 24:26]At the same time he hoped to get money from Paul, for which reason he continued to send for him and was in his company and conversed with him often.

This steadfastness not only kept him from compromising his values but also earned him favor and approval before the Lord.

Reflective Questions about the Teaching

a) From our perspective, who demanded a bribe from Apostle Paul?

b) Did Apostle Paul ultimately give a bribe to Governor Felix?

c) What is the purpose of this note in relation to our teaching? d) What lessons should we acknowledge from our study of the Word?

e) According to our understanding, what has become the norm in today’s society?

DO NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS.

You know, some of us are experts at underestimating how people start their journeys. We often overlook that a small beginning can attract immense blessings and growth.

In today’s world, many people shy away from connecting with things that are just getting off the ground. Perhaps it’s a fear that these fledgling ventures won’t reach their intended heights or purposes. But here’s the kicker: nothing starts off as a giant! Everything begins small.

Take a moment to think about it: many success stories revolve around folks who started from humble beginnings and expanded into something truly remarkable. When we embrace our small starts, we open the door for God to bless our humble beginnings. Remember Zechariah 4:10: “Who [with reason] despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. [These seven] are the eyes of the Lord which run to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

So, let’s cheer on those small beginnings! They might just be the seeds of greatness waiting to sprout.
