AVOID BAD ALLIANCES

From a contextual basis in view, we realise that believers must exercise extreme caution regarding the alliances they form, as the wrong partnerships can destroy their work and purpose.

King Jehoshaphat of Judah made a critical error by entering into a business alliance with King Ahaziah of Israel.
The primary issue with the alliance was not the project itself, but the character of the partner, as King Ahaziah was known for doing “very wickedly.”

Because of this ungodly partnership, the Lord sent the prophet Eliezer to deliver a message of judgment against Jehoshaphat.
The prophet foretold that because Jehoshaphat joined with a wrongdoer, the Lord would destroy the works of his hands.

The ships the kings built together in Ezion-geber were wrecked and never reached their destination of Tarshish as thus The central lesson is that individuals should walk away from bad alliances to avoid the divine consequences associated with them.

The teaching is based on the biblical account found in 2 Chronicles 20:35-37 2 Chronicles 20:[35]After this, Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly.
[36]He joined him in building ships to go to Tarshish, building them in Ezion-geber.[37]Then Eliezer son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you have joined Ahaziah, the Lord will destroy your works. So the ships were wrecked and unable to go to Tarshish.

a) According to our context in view, who is king Jehoshaphat?

b) What is that which He did with King Ahaziah?

c) Did their project succeed?

d) How come the ships that they made were not able to reach their destination?

f) How is this teaching applicable in view to our day to day life?

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I pray you help me not to make alliances with people that will lead to the end of what am trying to do Amen

INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE LORD ARE ABSOLUTE

One of the thing’s that we nust realise is that The instructions given by the Lord are absolute and are not subject to debate or negotiation and that every individual has a God-given responsibility or mission that must be completed before they pass away from this life.

Divine instructions must be executed exactly as ordered before one leaves their existence in the flesh. While a person might seek minor consultations, the core command of the Lord remains non-debatable.

God specifically commanded Moses to execute divine vengeance against the Midianites on behalf of the Israelites.
The completion of this specific task was a prerequisite for Moses being “gathered to his people” (passing away).
Moses obeyed by instructing the people to arm men for war to carry out the Lord’s vengeance.
The conflict against the Midianites was a result of them seducing the people of Israel. The teaching emphasizes that the Lord’s word should be received in faith for personal transformation and blessing.

The biblical foundation for this teaching is drawn from the book of Numbers, specifically chapter 31.Numbers 31:2-3[2]Avenge the Israelites on the Midianites; afterward you shall be gathered to your [departed] people.3]And Moses said to the people, Arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian and execute the Lord’s vengeance on Midian [for seducing Israel]. [Num. 25:16-18.]

The “instruction of the Lord” is described as “volatile to debate,” meaning it cannot be altered by human argument and therefore, The ultimate goal is to fulfill every instruction ordered to one’s steps during their lifetime.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) Have you fulfilled God’s instructions concerning that which you must do before you pass on?

b) What is that which Moses was required to do by The Lord before He would be gathered to His people

c) What does this teaching relate to us in view to divine purpose

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I pray that I will execute by faith all that which you have ordered to my step in Jesus

AVOID COVETING THING’S THAT LEAD TO A SPIRITUAL DOWNFALL

The central spiritual warning is to avoid coveting things that lead to a spiritual downfall or are intended for self-advantage and pleasure.

King Ahaz of Judah, the son of Jotham, serves as a primary example of the dangers of coveting forbidden things.
While visiting Damascus to meet King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria, Ahaz saw a heathen altar that he immediately coveted.
Ahaz sent a detailed model and exact pattern of the foreign altar to Urijah the priest to have it replicated.

Urijah the priest followed the king’s instructions and completed the construction of the altar before Ahaz returned from Damascus.

Coveting things that are not “decent to order” results in various problems rising against an individual.

The teaching emphasizes that believers often experience a “back fall” when they desire things for the purpose of self-advantage.

The lesson is based on the scriptural account found in 2 Kings 16:10-
[10]King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw there their [heathen] altar. King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest a model of the altar and an exact pattern for its construction.11]So Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, finishing it before King Ahaz returned.

We realise that
The overarching message is that looking upon and desiring worldly or heathen structures can lead to spiritual compromise

The teaching includes reflective questions to help the reader process Ahaz’s motivations and actions in Damascus.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) Who is king Ahaz as realised upon in perspective?

b) For what purpose did He go to Damascus?

c) What is that which He coveted that was in Damascus?

d) What did He instruct Uriah to do as realised upon to thus?

e) How does this teaching relate to our everyday pattern of life?

d) Give some of the lessons in view you learn from our teaching

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I declare that I will not covet that which doesn’t give you glory in Jesus name amen

VOWS

Vows have divine regulations we must take serious.
Numbers 30:1-2.
Moses gave instructions firstly to the leaders of Israel.
If you want to influence people you always have to start with the leaders for any purpose.
Israel has twelve tribes that was rooted in Jacob.

Moses did so in order to use the influence of leaders in the community so that the information can be easily spread.

Why did Moses begin with the leaders of Israel to give out instructions?

Why do people break their oath to God?

  1. When people are in poor conditions they tend to be humble, faithful and prayerful to God, make a vow with Him but after the Lord working on his challenges most people tend to forget their roots.
  2. Others break their oath due the environment they are living in.
  3. Others just excitement
    Doing the same thing repeatedly.

WHY THE LORD HANDS US OVER TO CERTAIN SITUATIONS

Often time’s The Lord hands us over to certain situations that could bring spiritual or physical disaster to us basing on what we have been able to incline our attitudes to so that we learn from them in repentance to the Lord

You will realise that the predicament of God over our lives is based according to that which we have done and how we have chosen to live our lives in view to His mandate.

The bible talks about Jehoahaz son of Jehu who did evil in the sight of the Lord to the extent that He walked in the sins that Jeroboam caused Israel to commit and so The Lord’s anger burned to the extent that The LORD handed Him over and the people to Hazael king of Aram
2 Kings 13:2-3[2]He did evil in the sight of the Lord and followed the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin, and did not depart from them.[3]The anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria and of Ben-hadad son of Hazael continually.

HE WHO DWELLS IN THE ” SECRET PLACE” OF THE MOST HIGH

There is a certain man of God who said something that brought me to a place of divine responsibility and accountability, He said you can’t have divine communion with the Lord and at the same time have communion with the thing’s of the world

The secret place of the most high is attained as a place of spiritual fellowship with the LORD. You don’t visit the secret place but rather you dwell there so that the Lord may speak to you concerning that which is inclusive to your destiny Psalm 91:1[1]HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].

DON’T LET THE LORD REMOVE YOU FROM HIS PRESENCE BY WHAT YOU DO

From a streamlined perspective of view in thought , you need to pay careful attention by what you do and how you live

When you read the bible in it’s contextualized array of procedure, you will realise that some of the thing’s that the Israelites did caused The Lord to remove them from His presence / what they did caused The Lord to banish them from His presence and as to thus the Lord surely removed them from His presence
2 Kings 17:16,18 [16]And they forsook all the commandments of the Lord their God and made for themselves molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah and worshiped all the [starry] hosts of the heavens and served Baal.[18]Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them out of His sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah.
As thus, we shouldn’t do that which the Israelites did as view

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) According to our reflection in view, what may be some of the thing’s that may cause The Lord to remove us or banish us from His presence?

c) Give an underlined perspective of view as reflected upon in perspective

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I pray that you keep me in your presence.. that you may not remove me or banish me from your presence by what I do Amen

MONEY AND MINISTRY

There is a preacher I heard some month’s back who said money follows vision and indeed money follows vision.

God gives money to people who have a vision so that they are able to appropriate that vision into reality

You shouldn’t love money but you also have to know that you can’t appropriate the vision of God upon your life without the needed funds to do so

Money is an essential aspect in fulfilling the purpose of God

When King Josiah wanted to repair the temple of the Lord, He did not use state money as due to the urgency of fulfilling divine purpose but rather He used money that was brought in the temple of the Lord by the people of the Lord 2 Chronicles 34:9[9]When they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that had been brought into the house of God, which the Levites who kept the doors had collected from Manasseh, Ephraim, all the remnant of Israel, and from all Judah, Benjamin, and Jerusalem.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) According to our teaching in realisation of view , what is that which is essential in fulfilling the purpose of God?

b) Give an underlined perspective of view in perspective to relation

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus am grateful for this acknowledgement of mind about how purposeful money is to your kingdom in Jesus name

VOWS HAVE DIVINE REGULATIONS WHICH WE MUST TAKE SERIOUS

The LORD is very quiver when it comes to vows we make to Him

Some people are suffering because they haven’t fulfilled vows they made to the LORD and so The Lord becomes haste to do that which He wants to do with them as due to failing to fulfil the vow they have subjected themselves LORD .

That is why their suffering is ever unending to unending

Some people have kept on saying. LORD if you build me a house I will bring this money to your house. If you heal me of this disease I will do a b c d for you. When you open a travel opportunity for me I will do for you this and that and at the end of the vow they made to God they end up accomplishing nothing about it

God told Moses to tell the people that if at all anyone makes a vow to the LORD, that person shouldn’t break the vow that He has made to the LORD Numbers 30:1-2
[1]AND MOSES said to the heads or leaders of the tribes of Israel, This is the thing which the Lord has commanded:
[2]If a man vows a vow to the Lord or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break and profane his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

GOD HAS CONCERN FOR HIS HOLY NAME

If you don’t have concern for your name then you don’t know how worth your name is and the descriptive value in perspective concerning what your name may hold

God has concern for His holy name

From a realisable perspective of due to induction we realise that just as The LORD is Holy so His name is Holy and that we must be careful not to profane the Holy name of the Lord whether by reoson of due or not .

The LORD is not only Holy but also His name is Holy.

What did the Israelites do when The Lord scattered them in various nations.

  • They profaned the name of the Lord Ezekiel 36:21-22[21]But I had regard, concern, and compassion for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations to which they went.[22]Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: I do not do this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations to which you went.and as to thus, we shouldn’t profane the name of the LORD
