From perspective, we realise that Hezekiah demanded that the people bring a portion of their goods to the priests.

The primary purpose of this demand was not to exploit the people but to enable the priests to devote themselves fully to the law of the Lord.So providing these goods ensured the priests would not have to worry or complain about what they needed to eat or live on. 2 Chronicles 31:4-5[4]He commanded the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion due the priests and Levites, that they might [be free to] give themselves to the Law of the Lord.[5]As soon as the command went abroad, the Israelites gave in abundance the firstfruits of grain, vintage fruit, oil, honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything.

The priestly ministry requires an immense level of dedication that is greater than one can easily express or imagine.
Many genuine men of God currently struggle to balance their personal lives with the ministries given to them by the Lord.

A major cause of this struggle is that the people responsible for supporting these leaders are failing to fulfill their duties.
Without proper support from their communities, spiritual leaders cannot devote themselves completely to the law of the Lord.

Many men of God are unable to focus fully on their spiritual duties due to the heavy burden of personal and practical demands on their shoulders.

Hezekiah initiated these actions as part of the religious reforms established during his reign.

The encouragement to support the priesthood was a structured effort by Hezekiah to restore proper religious focus.
Adequate physical provisions and directly impact a spiritual leader’s ability to focus on their divine calling.

[2]Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.3]For, note well, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will release from captivity My people Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.

Our Cities and Nations should be purified

From a contextualized purpose of note in view , we realise that our cities and nations are filled with all kinds of detestable practices.There is an urgent need for cities to be purified to meaningfully serve God’s purpose.

King Josiah serves as a key historical example of a leader who purified his land and purged both Judah and Jerusalem of detestable practices 2 Chronicles 34:3-5[3]For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young [sixteen], he began to seek after and yearn for the God of David his father [forefather]; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherim, and the carved and molten images.[4]They broke down the altars of the Baals in his presence; the sun-images that were high above them he hewed down; the Asherim and the graven images and the molten images he broke in pieces and made dust of them and strewed it upon the graves of those who sacrificed to them.[5]Josiah burned the bones of the [idolatrous] priests upon their altars, and so cleansed Judah and Jerusalem and so may our cities and Nations be purified to the glory of God

The purification process involved removing high places, Asherim, and carved and molten images.The altars of the Baals were broken down directly in the presence of King Josiah.Sun-images that were positioned high above the altars were hewed down and destroyed.Graven, molten, and Asherim images were broken into pieces and ground into dust.The dust from the destroyed idols was strewed upon the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.
Josiah burned the bones of the idolatrous priests directly upon their own altars.
Through these extensive actions, Josiah successfully cleansed the lands of Judah and Jerusalem

The moment you decide to give up on life is often the right when your miracle is about to happen.

People sometimes pray for death or want to give up due to life’s constraints or the heavy demands of serving the Lord.

The biblical prophet Elijah reached a point where he was completely fed up with life and prayed to die.
Elijah’s desire to die was driven by fear and exhaustion over what Jezebel wanted to do to him 1 Kings 19:4[4]But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a lone broom or juniper tree and asked that he might die. He said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers.1 Kings 19:5-6 5]As he lay asleep under the broom or juniper tree, behold, an angel touched him and said to him, Arise and eat.6]He looked, and behold, there was a cake baked on the coals, and a bottle of water at his head. And he ate and drank and lay down again.

When Elijah prayed for death, he was entirely unaware of the miraculous plans the Lord had in store for him.

He didn’t realize that he would eventually be taken to heaven alive, completely avoiding the predicament of physical death as thus we should not give up on what God has strategized towards our attention in as due to all that which He has called us to do

The story of David serves as a purposeful example of how to handle opposition through divine inquiry.
When David was anointed king, his enemies—the Philistines immediately conspired and mobilized to attack him.1 Chronicles 14:8-10[8]And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, [they] all went up to seek David. And [he] heard of it and went out before them.[9]Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the Valley of Rephaim.[10]David asked God, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will You deliver them into my hand? And the Lord said, Go up, and I will deliver them into your hand.

David’s first reaction to the threat of the Philistines was to inquire of the Lord rather than acting on his own.

David specifically asked God if he should go against his enemies and if God would deliver them into his hands.
Victory was secured only after God gave David the explicit command to “Go up.”
God promised David that He would deliver the Philistines into his hand, ensuring success before the battle began.
David demonstrated obedience by moving against the Philistines exactly as the Lord had instructed and so this teaching highlights that even when anointed for a high position, one will still face immediate opposition.

Avoid entertaining or contending with individuals who offer negative guidance as thus the quality of your life is directly linked to the counsel you choose to follow.

King Ahaziah the youngest SON of Jehoram began his reign at twenty-two years old but was led astray by his mother, Athaliah who acted as a counselor to her son, specifically encouraging him to do wickedly.
Following the ways of the house of Ahab led to Ahaziah’s spiritual and physical destruction as related upon in 2 Chronicles 22:3-4[3]He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly.[4]So he did evil in the sight of the Lord like the house of Ahab, for they were his counselors after his father’s death, to his destruction and as to thus this led to the downfall of King Ahaziah.. we should be reminded not to accept any purpose of wicked advise that we may recieve from those that we know and also from those that we do not know

THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS BUT THE LORD’S

When we fast and pray something happens. The LORD comes to our intervention and those thing’s that we thought are big become small

The battle belongs to God rather than to the individuals facing the conflict.Fasting and prayer trigger divine intervention from the Lord and that God responds directly when His people engage in fasting and so The Spirit of the Lord provides specific guidance and messages during times of assembly and seeking.

The bible underlines purpose of word as due to what happened when Jehoshaphat king of Judah fasted with all the resident’s that were in the cities of Judah as due to their enemies that were planning to come against them

When they fasted, God responded.

The spirit of the LORD came on Jahaziel who said.. The battle is not yours but God’s 2 Chronicles 20:14-15
[14]Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.[15]He said, Hearken, all Judah, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat. The Lord says this to you: Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Divine rewards for spiritual work may not be granted immediately but will manifest over time.

Jehu is highlighted as a primary biblical example of someone who acted according to the Lord’s will.
The Lord explicitly acknowledged and commended the actions taken by Jehu.
Jehu was responsible for executing divine judgment upon the house of Ahab.
The judgment carried out by Jehu also extended to Jezebel.
Because of his obedience, the Lord granted Jehu a significant generational blessing.
The specific reward for Jehu’s faithfulness was the establishment of a royal lineage in that
Four generations of Jehu’s descendants were promised the throne of Israel.2 Kings 10:30[30]And the Lord said to Jehu, Because you have executed well what is right in My eyes and have done to the house of Ahab as I willed, your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on Israel’s throne. [Fulfilled in II Kings 15:12.] As thus when we are committed to that which is right in the LORD’S sight.. we should thus expect a reward

From a defined perspective in view of thought , we realise that the reign of Jehoram was realised by his failure to follow the righteous example of his father, Jehoshaphat.

The Lord struck Jehoram with a fatal intestinal disease as a direct consequence of his actions.2 Chronicles 21:18-19[18]And after all this, the Lord smote [Jehoram] with an incurable intestinal disease.[19]In process of time, after two years, his bowels fell out because of his disease. So he died in severe distress. And his people made no funeral fire to honor him, like the fires for his fathers.

Jehoram led the entire nation into sin by establishing high places in the cities of Judah
2 Chronicles 21:11[11]Moreover, he made idolatrous high places in the hill country of Judah and debauched spiritually the inhabitants of Jerusalem and led Judah astray [compelling the people’s cooperation].

In a ruthless pursuit of power, Jehoram murdered all of his own brothers and so The Lord incited the Philistines and Arabs to launch an attack against Jehoram.
Invading forces who seized all of Jehoram’s personal possessions, His wives, leaving him isolated.

All of Jehoram’s sons were taken away during the conflict, except for the youngest as thus we realise that not doing what The Lord has instructed us to do leads to a downfall

Don’t let the purpose of God over your life be cut short because of your disobedience

The chronology that causes us to be defeated in the purpose of God over what He has intended to do in our lives is as a result of our disobedience and disconnecting our selves from Him and from all that He has prioritized to do in our lives

Disobedience and rebellion are the primary reasons individuals fail to fulfill the divine purpose intended for their lives.

Disconnecting from the Creator prevents the manifestation of His priorities in a person’s life.

The original plan for Jeroboam, son of Nebat, was for his dynasty to endure permanently and so a lasting legacy was contingent upon walking in the ways of the Lord.1 Kings 11:38[38]And if you will hearken to all I command you and will walk in My ways and do right in My sight, keeping My statutes and My commandments, as David My servant did, I will be with you and build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

Jeroboam’s failure to follow divine instructions resulted in his prosperity being cut short and so we realise in view that rebellion acts as a direct barrier to the fulfillment of spiritual plans and that you shouldn’t think of rebelling against the Lord
