One of the thing’s that we nust realise is that The instructions given by the Lord are absolute and are not subject to debate or negotiation and that every individual has a God-given responsibility or mission that must be completed before they pass away from this life.
Divine instructions must be executed exactly as ordered before one leaves their existence in the flesh. While a person might seek minor consultations, the core command of the Lord remains non-debatable.
God specifically commanded Moses to execute divine vengeance against the Midianites on behalf of the Israelites.
The completion of this specific task was a prerequisite for Moses being “gathered to his people” (passing away).
Moses obeyed by instructing the people to arm men for war to carry out the Lord’s vengeance.
The conflict against the Midianites was a result of them seducing the people of Israel. The teaching emphasizes that the Lord’s word should be received in faith for personal transformation and blessing.
The biblical foundation for this teaching is drawn from the book of Numbers, specifically chapter 31.Numbers 31:2-3[2]Avenge the Israelites on the Midianites; afterward you shall be gathered to your [departed] people.3]And Moses said to the people, Arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian and execute the Lord’s vengeance on Midian [for seducing Israel]. [Num. 25:16-18.]
The “instruction of the Lord” is described as “volatile to debate,” meaning it cannot be altered by human argument and therefore, The ultimate goal is to fulfill every instruction ordered to one’s steps during their lifetime.
Reflective questions about the teaching
a) Have you fulfilled God’s instructions concerning that which you must do before you pass on?
b) What is that which Moses was required to do by The Lord before He would be gathered to His people
c) What does this teaching relate to us in view to divine purpose
