EBED- MELECH

EBED- MELECH.
Same mind attitude like that of Ebed Melech
From perspective, we realise that like it or not you need people with the same mind attitudes like those of ebed melech.
When Jeremiah was thrown in a cistern where he had nothing to eat.. in mad .. what happened
A gentleman called Ebed Melech a cushite court official that was employed in the king’s palace came to the king in favour of his rescue Jeremiah 38:7-9[7]Now when Ebed-melech the Ethiopian [a Cushite], one of the eunuchs who was in the king’s house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon or cistern pit; and while the king was then sitting in the Gate of Benjamin [8]Ebed-melech went out of the king’s house and spoke to the king, saying,[9]My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon or cistern pit; and he is liable to die of hunger and is [as good as] dead in the place where he is, for there is no more bread left in the city. As thus we should also come to people’s rescue as considerate to some of the situations that they may be going through as so king Zedekiah was able to come to the rescue of Jeremiah Jeremiah 38:10-11
[10]Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from here thirty men with you and raise Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon or cistern pit before he dies.[11]So Ebed-melech took the men with him and went into the house of the king [to a room] under the treasury, and took along from there old rags and worn-out garments and let them down by ropes into the dungeon or cistern pit to Jeremiah.
Reflective questions about the teaching

Confession prayer
Dear Lord Jesus I pray that just as you used ebed Melech to rescue your servant so in that way you will also use me to rescue those who are struggling

GOD DOESN’T SEE THING’S ACCORDING TO THE PRESENTATION OF MEN

GOD DOESN’T SEE THING’S ACCORDING TO THE PRESENTATION OF MEN
From a deliberate perspective we realise that God doesn’t necessarily see you according to the way you present yourself to people or how you look like in perspective of physical appearance
He sees your heart… what is your heart like. What is in your heart is actually the most apparent truth about you.
It’s more than what people know about you and what people perceive of you
Is your heart full of
Hate
Rage
Gossip
Ever complaining
Grumbling
bitterness
unforgiving
How man sees is not how The Lord sees. The Lord doesn’t see thing’s according to the presentation of men whereas the presentation of men may be key to us but that’s not how the Lord sees man.
When Samuel reached the house of Jesse, jesse presented to Him the first born. So when Samuel saw him… He said… The Lord’s anointed is here. He Samuel possibly thought that He is the One whom the Lord had anointed yet he wasn’t the one that The Lord had anointed until The Lord had to tell Him that man looks at the outward appearance but I look at the heart 1 Samuel 16:6-7[6]When they had come, he looked on Eliab [the eldest son] and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him.[7]But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.

When it’s God’s time to lift you

When it’s God’s time to lift you
You need a connection with God/ Heaven
Right now people underlook you because you don t have money, you don’t have any big connection that could probably change your life for the better. Life seems to be at a scale of disadvantage on your side as if you are all alone by yourself
You are struggling and no body seems to be on your account of progress
When it’s The Lord’s time to favour you everyone will be shocked.. they will be surprised at the predicament of God over your life in like manner.
When Samuel realised that Jesse had another SON whom the Lord had selected as King. He said we shall not sit down to eat before he gets here… as long as David is not yet here.. the sacrifice  will not be eaten until the man that The Lord has selected or chosen is here 1 Samuel 16:11[11]Then [he] said to Jesse, Are all your sons here? [Jesse] said, There is yet the youngest; he is tending the sheep. Samuel said to Jesse, Send for him; for we will not sit down to eat until he is here.as thus it was so that the one whom The Lord had anointed was honoured and treated like that in like manner

Dear Lord Jesus I am grateful that you have chosen me for fulfilment of divine purpose  and that you have a purpose for my life beyond what my finite mind can conceive in Jesus name amen

THE LORD REGRETTED

THE LORD REGRETTED
Don’t cause The LORD to regret why He called you into ministry or what He called you to do what He instructed You to do.
Saul made The LORD regret why He made him king because he did not carry out his instructions of killing all the amalekites in doing what The Lord had fully instructed Him to do 1 Samuel 15:11[11]I regret making Saul king, for he has turned back from following Me and has not performed My commands. And Samuel was grieved and angry [with Saul], and He cried to the Lord all night.as thus to note we shouldn’t cause The Lord to regret why He made us who we are

SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT YOUR SUCCESS..

SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT YOUR SUCCESS..
You will realise that some of the people you think are for you will never be happy when they see you succeed.  Don’t think everyone is happy about your success.
Some of the people want to see you struggling with nothing to do and nothing to eat.
When The king of Babylon appointed a man called _Gedaliah over the land_ .. over the men the women and everyone who had remained in the land guess  what happened
When the commanders of the Army and the people had all about this. They decided to do something bad and irrational to the true purpose of friendship . They came to Him at a place called Mizhap. They came with a friendly notion of view that they are for Him yet instead some of them were not absolutely  for Him in any sense. Jeremiah 40:7-8[7]Now when all the captains of the forces that were in the open country [of Judah] and their men heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah son of Ahikam governor in the land [of Judah] and had committed to him men, women, and children, those of the poorest of the land who had not been taken into exile to Babylon,[8]They went to Gedaliah at Mizpah–Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
And as a result.  Ishmael assinated the one who had been appointed by the king of Babylon Jeremiah 41:1-2[1]NOW IN the seventh month [of that year] Ishmael son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal descendants and one of the princes of the king, came [at the instigation of the Ammonites] with ten men to Gedaliah son of Ahikam in Mizpah. As they were eating a meal together there in Mizpah,
[2]Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him arose and struck down Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword and killed him, the one whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land. [II Kings 25:25.]

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE REJECT THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE REJECT THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD
God’s fiery judgement is awaiting everyone who has chosen to do that which is not in line to the counsel and instruction of the Lord
It is  indeed unfortunate that many of the people today have rejected the counsel of the Lord concerning their work, family and spirituality . They want to do thing’s that are opposite to what God has instructed them to do
They are confused because they have rejected the counsel of the Lord which is due to the fulfilment of God’s purpose.
Jeremiah told Johanan and the friend’s on how it was God’s plan for them to stay in the place where the Lord had put them in and if at all they stayed in that  place the Lord would build them and not demolish them Jeremiah 42:10
[10]If you will remain in this land, then I will build you up and not pull you down, and I will plant you and not pull you up; for I will relent and comfort and ease Myself concerning the evil that [in chastisement] I have done to you [and I will substitute mercy and loving-kindness for judgment]. [Jer. 31:4, 28.] But rather they chose to rebel and thought of prophet Jeremiah as a liar Jeremiah 43:2-4[2]Then Azariah son of Hoshaiah and Johanan son of Kareah and all the proud and insolent men said to Jeremiah, You are not telling the truth! The Lord our God has not sent you to say, Do not go into Egypt to dwell there temporarily.
[3]But Baruch son of Neriah is setting you against us to deliver us into the hands of the Chaldeans, so they may put us to death or carry us away captive to Babylon.[4]So Johanan son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces and all the people did not obey the voice of the Lord to remain in the land of Judah as thus they as due to disobedience concerning the instruction of the Lord, they faced their destruction in Jerusalem
Reflective questions about the teaching
a) According to wisdom of thought.. what advise did Jeremiah the prophet give to his friend’s when they came to Him in like manner
b) Give an analogy of due as realised upon in perspective
c) What would be some of the lessons you learn from our subject study
Confession prayer
Dear Lord Jesus I pray that I will not be like Jehonan and the friend’s in Jesus name amen

NEVER REBEL AGAINST YOUR MAN OF GOD

NEVER  REBEL AGAINST YOUR  MAN OF GOD
I want us to talk about something that is so important towards your walk with the Lord which is due to the sin of rebellion against your spiritual and biological parents
Many people have rebelled and guess who they have rebelled against  The Lord, their, spiritual father and their biological parents
If you want your life to move in the purpose of God as it should move , you shouldn’t rebel against your man of God whatsoever.  It’s sin to rebel against your man of God and it can bring you much harm that you didn’t even  anticipate to be.
This is what happened to Korah. He Gathered 250 people to false accuse Moses and Aeron for what they did not do saying to Moses and Aaron why they had exalted themselves above the assembly of God Numbers 16:1-3 [1]NOW KORAH son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men,[2]And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the Israelites, 250 princes or leaders of the congregation called to the assembly, men well known and of distinction.[3]And they gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, [Enough of you!] You take too much upon yourselves, seeing that all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you lift yourselves up above the assembly of the Lord?
As a result of this, The Lord opened up the earth that swallowed korah and his followers as due to the note that they had chosen to despising the Lord in like manner Numbers 16:1,32[1]NOW KORAH son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men,[32]And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households and [Korah and] all [his] men and all their possessions. [Num. 26:10, 11.]

WHY DID THE KING GIVE EZRA WHAT HE REQUESTED

WHY DID THE KING GIVE EZRA WHAT HE REQUESTED.
When the hand of the Lord God is upon you. people will give you things and you will even begin drawing blessings that you didn’t expect from those you know and from those that you do not know.
People will give you what you
Requested for and  what you didn’t  request for.  They will  give you their money, cars and all that which may be to the constant of your desire
While EZRA was coming from Babylon to Jerusalem  He requested some things from the king and guess what happened.
The king gave him all that He requested because _the hand of the LORD was upon Him. Ezra.Ezra 7:6[6]This Ezra went up from Babylon. He was a skilled scribe in the five books of Moses, which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given. And the king granted him all he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was upon him.

Do not let your enemies participate in some of the thing’s you are planning to establish

Do not let your enemies participate in some of the thing’s you are planning to establish
Be careful about those who want to cast your vision into fallacy in purpose of working with you
Dear Lord Jesus I pray that as I receive your word in faith I may be blessed and transformed through it in Jesus name amen
There are people who are with you not necessarily to help you or to support you along the vision that The Lord has given you but rather to cast your vision into fallacy
The biggest mistake that people do is to always  identify their enemies towards what they are planning to establish and to do not knowing that the enemies of their progress are those very people that they have introduced that idea to.
When the people who had returned back from the Babylonian captivity started building the temple of the Lord.  Guess who showed up.
Their enemies – The enemies of Judah & the enemies of Benjamin .. when there enemies heard that the people who had returned from exile had started building the temple of the Lord..they came and insisted that they should rather build with them however their intention was not about progressing the work of the LORD but of putting down the work of the LORD Ezra 4:2[2]They came to Zerubbabel [now governor] and to the heads of the fathers’ houses and said, Let us build with you, for we seek and worship your God as you do, and we have sacrificed to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us here. [II Kings 17:24-29.]but rather Zerubbabel the governor refused Ezra 4:3[3]But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the heads of fathers’ houses of Israel said to them, You have nothing to do with us in building a house to our God; but we ourselves will together build to the Lord, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus, the king of Persia, has commanded us.
Reflective questions about the teaching
a) When the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard how the people who had been taken to the land of captivity had come back, what did they do as realised upon to our essence of note
b) Were the enemies of Judah and Benjamin allowed to participate in the building process?
c) If so why do you think they were not allowed to participate in the building process
d) What would be some of the lessons that you learn from our teaching in view to purpose
Confession prayer
Dear Lord Jesus. my confession prayer that is that I will not let my enemies participate in what am establishing for your glory amen

REBUILDING THE ALTER OF THE LORD Returning to the LORD

REBUILDING THE ALTER OF THE LORD
Returning to the LORD
Life without The LORD is fruitless,  empty and void of divine purpose
We need to return to the LORD and we can return to the LORD by doing that thing which we used to do consistent and establishing an alter of the word of God, prayer and fasting
An alter was a place where the Israelites would offer burnt offerings to the LORD on various day’s as realised upon to that
When the Jews who had gone to exile in Babylon had returned from  Babylonian captivity they  rebuilt the alter of the Lord in Jerusalem in view to the restoration and the continued worship of the LORD in Israel Ezra 3:1-2[1]WHEN THE seventh month came and the Israelites were in the towns, the people gathered together as one man to Jerusalem.[2]Then stood up Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and they built the altar of the LORD of Israel to offer burnt offerings upon it, as it is written in the instructions of Moses the man of God.
