Have been studying through this scripture and I realise how Jeremiah gave a very hard task though not negotiating to seriah son of Neriah. This man was instructed by Jeremiah to read aloud prophecies of disaster Jeremiah 51:60-6260]So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that would come upon Babylon–even all these words that are written against Babylon.[61]And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When you come to Babylon, see to it that you read all these words.[62]Then say, O Lord, You have spoken concerning this place that it shall be cut off, so that nothing shall remain and dwell in it, neither man nor beast; but it shall be desolate forever.
You can’t say you are obedient to God yet you are not obedient to your spiritual leaders.
Every time you are living contrary to what your pastor has told you in view as thus we should be obedient to the LORD and to our men of God just as seraiah was
Reflective questions about the teaching
a) Who is Seraiah as realised upon in perspective?
b) What responsibility did Jeremiah the prophet give to this man?
c) Did this man do as He was told to do by Jeremiah the prophet?
d) What would be some of the lessons in view you learn from this teaching
Confession prayer
Dear Lord Jesus I come before you today. I pray that you give me the grace to be obedient to the purpose of your will and for whatever you will be leading me towards in Jesus name Amen
