We realise that some people experience suffering today as a direct consequence of their own actions of disobedience.

This suffering is compared to the experiences of the Israelites, who repeatedly disobeyed the Lord.

Due to their persistent disobedience, the Lord sent the Israelites into captivity in Babylon.
The period of Babylonian captivity lasted for 70 years.
The Lord actively sent prophets to warn the people about their behavior.
Messengers were sent by the Lord from time to time to deliver these warnings.
A notable aspect of the people’s behavior was their complete refusal to listen to the warnings.Because the people refused to listen, the Lord ultimately sent them into captivity.
Jeremiah 25:11-1211]And this whole land shall be a waste and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. [II Chron. 36:20-23; Jer. 4:27; 12:11, 12; Dan. 9:2.][12]Then when seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, says the Lord, for their iniquity, and will make the land [of the Chaldeans] a perpetual waste. You need people in your corner who will actively support you during times of widespread opposition.
The Bible highlights the story of a man named Ahikam, who was the son of Shaphan.Ahikam persuaded the court not to hand Jeremiah over to a hostile mob.The mob of people actively wanted to kill Jeremiah.Jeremiah 26:24[24]But the hand of Ahikam son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that he might not be given into the hands of the people to put him [also] to death.

And so we conclude that standing up for others in times of crisis is a powerful demonstration of friendship and support.
Delivering difficult truths, as Jeremiah did, can often provoke anger and opposition from the crowd and having a strong support system is essential when fulfilling challenging duties or callings.

From an authentic perspective of due, we realise that It is crucial to be highly careful about the reports we give, particularly when sent out on duty.

Ten of the twelve leaders sent by Moses brought back a false and slanderous report about their findings. Joshua and Caleb were the only two leaders who brought back a true report of what they observed

The ten leaders who gave the false report failed to tell the whole truth about what they saw.As a direct result of their false report, those ten men died of a plague before the Lord. Numbers 14:36-38
[36]And the men whom Moses sent to search the land, who returned and made all the congregation grumble and complain against him by bringing back a slanderous report of the land,[37]Even those men who brought the evil report of the land died by a plague before the Lord. The rebellion of the king of Moab occurred following the death of King Ahab.
King Joram sought and secured the military assistance of King Jehoshaphat to launch the attack.The king of Edom also joined the alliance, making it a coalition of three kings against Moab.
Before proceeding to battle, King Jehoshaphat insisted on seeking divine guidance.King Jehoshaphat requested to consult a prophet of the Lord to determine their proper course of action.

And so we realise that the decision to consult a prophet highlights the spiritual preparation of the kings before the conflict.

The alliance brought together the kingdoms of Israel, Judah (under Jehoshaphat), and Edom. 2 Kings 3:4-7[4]Mesha king of Moab was a sheepmaster, and paid in tribute to the king of Israel [annually] 100,000 lambs and 100,000 rams, with the wool.[5]But when Ahab died, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.[6]So King Joram went out of Samaria at that time and mustered all Israel.[7]And he sent to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab has rebelled against me. The Bible describes an experience involving Doeg the Edomite in the land of Nob.

While in the land of Nob, Doeg witnessed Ahimelech giving David the sword of Goliath.1 Samuel 21:7[7]Now a certain man of Saul’s servants was there that day, detained before the Lord; his name was Doeg the Edomite, the chief of Saul’s herdsmen.1 Samuel 21:8-9[8]David said to Ahimelech, Do you have at hand a sword or spear? Upon hearing the news, David asked the Lord if he should go and attack the Philistines.
God answered David and told him that he should go.

From perspective, We realise that King Nahash of the Ammonites is recognized as one of the most ruthless kings depicted in the Bible.

King Nahash treated people with extreme cruelty and brutality.
The king’s severe mistreatment of others extended to gouging out the eyes of his subjects and enemies.
Nahash the Ammonite initiated a military campaign and besieged the city of Jabesh-gilead.

In response to the siege, the men of Jabesh-gilead sought to negotiate a peace treaty with Nahash.

1 Samuel 11:1-2[1]AND NAHASH the Ammonite went up and besieged Jabesh-gilead; and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, Make a treaty with us, and we will serve you.2]But Nahash the Ammonite told them, On this condition I will make a treaty with you, that I thrust out all your right eyes and thus lay disgrace on all Israel and as to thus , we realise that humanity should never treat others with such extreme levels of cruelty.

From perspective, we realise that God hates rape, which deprives individuals of respect, honor, and tranquility.

A Levite man traveled to the land of Gibeah in the territory of Benjamin.The local men of Gibeah raped and abused the Levite’s concubine to death.

As a consequence of this violent act, the entire town of Gibeah and the tribe of Benjamin suffered.
The local men refused to listen to the Levite, prompting him to force his concubine out to them.The men of the town had intercourse with her and abused her throughout the entire night until morning.
The abusers finally released the woman as the dawn began to break.
At daybreak, the woman returned and collapsed at the door of the house where her master was staying.
She lay at the threshold of the house until it became light outside.
In the morning, her master opened the doors and stepped outside to continue on his journey.

The master discovered his concubine fallen at the door with her hands on the threshold.
He spoke to her, telling her to get up so they could leave, but received no answer because she was dead.
The Levite placed her body onto a donkey and traveled back to his home.

Upon arriving home, he used a knife to divide his dead concubine’s body limb by limb into twelve pieces.
He sent the twelve pieces of her body throughout all the territories of Israel. Judges 19:25-2925]But the men would not listen to him. So the man took his concubine and forced her forth to them, and they had intercourse with her and abused her all the night until morning. And when the dawn began to break, they let her go.

The purpose of ministry is not to make a name out of wishful thinking as some may subject it to be but to make disciples. To enlarge the kingdom of God above all that which we may ever crave for in this world however we realise that Many people living in our societies today are not yet disciples of Jesus.

A major obstacle preventing people from becoming true disciples is their unwillingness to let go of certain personal hindrances such as their Religious backgrounds that can act as a significant barrier that prevents individuals from fully committing to discipleship.

We also realise that family backgrounds and traditions can also hinder people from choosing to follow Jesus.
Many individuals are ultimately unwilling to count the cost associated with becoming a disciple of Jesus.

Jesus addressed these challenges directly during a specific period when a large crowd gathered to hear Him.
In His message to the crowd, Jesus established strict conditions for what it means to be a true follower.
Jesus stated that anyone who cannot carry their own cross is unable to be His disciple.
Following Jesus requires a personal willingness to endure hardships, symbolized by carrying one’s cross.
True discipleship demands a conscious decision to prioritize Jesus over past traditions and backgrounds.Luke 14:25-27[25]Now huge crowds were going along with [Jesus], and He turned and said to them,[26]If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his [own] father and mother [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God] and [likewise] his wife and children and brothers and sisters–[yes] and even his own life also–he cannot be My disciple.
