From an authentic perspective of due, we realise that It is crucial to be highly careful about the reports we give, particularly when sent out on duty.
Ten of the twelve leaders sent by Moses brought back a false and slanderous report about their findings. Joshua and Caleb were the only two leaders who brought back a true report of what they observed
The ten leaders who gave the false report failed to tell the whole truth about what they saw.As a direct result of their false report, those ten men died of a plague before the Lord. Numbers 14:36-38
[36]And the men whom Moses sent to search the land, who returned and made all the congregation grumble and complain against him by bringing back a slanderous report of the land,[37]Even those men who brought the evil report of the land died by a plague before the Lord. [Heb. 3:17-19; Jude 5-7.][38]But Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among the men who went to search the land, lived still.
And so we realise that
Giving an inaccurate report when tasked with a duty carries severe spiritual and physical consequences.
