BEING THE LORD’S Watchman

Ezekiel WAS GIVEN A VERY BIG RESPONSIBILITY FROM THE LORD

BEING THE LORD’S WATCHMAN

Am really getting to think that the responsibility God has given us of winning soul’s is bigger than what we can anticipate.

  • Many people have not yet accepted Christ Jesus
  • Many have not yet been baptised
  • Many are still in the world

Just like you were given a responsibility from the Lord that you have to carry out also Ezekiel was given a responsibility by the Lord which was in the view that he should be a watchman over the house of Israel . This didn’t necessarily mean being a watchman of the night like watching over whether thieves will come or will not come but warning people concerning that which God wanted them to do in like manner of regard Ezekiel 3:17 [17]Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at My mouth and give them warning from Me. [Isa. 52:8; 56:10; 62:6; Jer. 6:17.]

God told Him that as a watchman over the house of Israel, If at all He hears a word from the mouth of the Lord. He should give the people a warning in view to what The Lord would have said to Ezekiel . So as a watchman over your family, your city and nation you must first heed to that which the Lord is speaking and after hearing what the Lord is speaking then you are to warn the people that the Lord has sent you to warn

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) What responsibility as realised upon to context did The Lord give to Ezekiel?

b) As a watchman over the house of Israel what was He expected to do and what was He expected not to do?.

c) Has The Lord made you a watchman over your society..?

d) What is the applicability of this teaching as related on in view to our day to day life

e) What would be some of the lessons that you learn in view to our teaching

f) What is that which is bigger than what we can anticipate?

g) Have you been preaching the gospel?

h) What would be an impact to the kingdom of the Lord if we attend to the divine mandate of preaching the gospel?

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus am grateful that you have indeed made me a watch man over my family, my city and my country in Jesus name Amen

WHY GOD SENT JEREMIAH TO THE PALACE

Why God sends you to whichever place

We are living in a time where leadership is no longer prioritised in a way it should be prioritized.

  • some leader’s are no longer administering justice and righteousness
  • some don’t rescue the victims of roberry from the hand of his oppressor
  • some brutalize and exploit the alien
  • some leaders shed innocent blood
  • whereas some leader’s have continued to bribe others for their self advantage

The reason why God sends you to whichever place that he has sent you to is that you may actualize the divine purpose of the Lord in that place and possibly warn them of the Lord’s predicament if at all they don’t obey the voice of the Lord or whatever The Lord is commanding them to do. The Lord doesn’t send anyone without purpose of divine responsibility

God sent his servant prophet Jeremiah to the palace of the king of Judah in order to actualize the order of the Lord concerning what God wanted those people to do in view to His will for them. God told Jeremiah to tell the king of Judah and the officials Jeremiah 22:1-3[1]THUS SAYS the Lord: Go down to the house of the king of Judah and speak there this word:[2]Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, you who sit upon the throne of David–you and your servants and your people who enter by these gates.3]Thus says the Lord: Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver out of the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong; do no violence to the stranger or temporary resident, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) According to reconciliation of due, why did The Lord send Jeremiah the prophet to the palace of the king of Judah.. why did The Lord send His prophet there ?

b) How come some of our leaders are no longer administering justice and righteousness?

c) Give an acclamation of due as realised upon in our subject study?

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus.. am grateful for whichever place that you have sent me to and I declare that whichever place that you have sent me to . I will serve your divine purpose in Jesus name Amen

SPIRITUAL OVERSIGHT, YOU NEED DIVINE DIRECTION

You can’t succeed in ministry or in life without direction from the LORD. You need direction from the LORD to establish your purpose and sustain your purpose and to guard the grace and the anointing upon your life

God told Moses about the responsibility that Eleazar was supposed to fullfil in view to the purpose why God had called Joshua.

Eleazar the priest was supposed to consult The Lord for Joshua with the decision of the Urim Numbers 27:21[21]He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him before the Lord by the judgment of the Urim [one of two articles in the priest’s breastplate worn when asking counsel of the Lord for the people]. At Joshua’s word the people shall go out and come in, both he and all the Israelite congregation with him.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) As reflected upon to note, what is that which The Lord instructed Moses to tell Eleazar to do in view to Joshua’s selection and appointment by the Lord

YOU CAN’T SAY YOU ARE OBEDIENT TO THE LORD YET YOU ARE DISOBEDIENT TO YOUR SPIRITUAL LEADERS

Have been studying through this scripture and I realise how Jeremiah gave a very hard task though not negotiating to seriah son of Neriah. This man was instructed by Jeremiah to read aloud prophecies of disaster Jeremiah 51:60-6260]So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that would come upon Babylon–even all these words that are written against Babylon.[61]And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When you come to Babylon, see to it that you read all these words.[62]Then say, O Lord, You have spoken concerning this place that it shall be cut off, so that nothing shall remain and dwell in it, neither man nor beast; but it shall be desolate forever.

You can’t say you are obedient to God yet you are not obedient to your spiritual leaders.

Every time you are living contrary to what your pastor has told you in view as thus we should be obedient to the LORD and to our men of God just as seraiah was

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) Who is Seraiah as realised upon in perspective?

b) What responsibility did Jeremiah the prophet give to this man?

c) Did this man do as He was told to do by Jeremiah the prophet?

d) What would be some of the lessons in view you learn from this teaching

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I come before you today. I pray that you give me the grace to be obedient to the purpose of your will and for whatever you will be leading me towards in Jesus name Amen

WHATEVER YOU DO FOR THE LORD, DO IT TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY

When it comes to the things of God, many people are so reluctant to realise course and to do what they are supposed to do in the house of the Lord or for the house of the Lord primarily .

They leave all the work to the pastor and to the church leaders with less esteem for their personal involvement towards the day to day running of the ministry

One of the reasons why The Lord blessed David abundantly is because He had love for the house of the Lord. He first concentrated on the Lord’s work before his other personal needs came by

When it was time to build the temple. He said. So to the best of my ability I have made provision for the house of the Lord 1 Chronicles 29:2]So I have provided with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be of gold, silver for things of silver, bronze for things of bronze, iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood, as well as onyx or beryl stones, stones to be set, stones of antimony, stones of various colors, and all sorts of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) What is that which David did to the best of His ability?

b) What is that which you have done to the best of your ability?

c) Are you serving God to the best of your ability?

d) Give an analysed purpose of note as due to our subject study

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I come before you today. I pray that whatever I do for you.. I will do it to the best of my ability

GOD KNOWS THE PREDICAMENT OF OUR DAY’S

From a bible perspective, we realise that God knows the predicament of our day’s and how we shall depart from the earth as per to whether it will be by sickness accident or anything whatsoever

we have been relating perspective in view to Zedekiah ( king of Judah) Who was a son to Josiah.

This man disobeyed The Lord even after God telling Him what to do however. God still spoke to him in view to the predicaments that would relate the end of His life.

Jeremiah 34:4-5[4]Yet hear the word of the Lord, O Zedekiah king of Judah! Thus says the Lord concerning you: You shall not die by the sword;[5]But you shall die in peace. And as with the burnings of [spices and perfumes on wood that were granted as suitable for and in honor of] your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so shall a burning be made for you; and [people] shall lament for you, saying, Alas, lord! For I have spoken the word, says the Lord.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) What did The Lord say Zedekiah would die?

b) What did The Lord say would be made at Zedekiah’s death

c) What does this teaching teach you in perspective to the foreknowledge of God

d) Give an underlined perspective of view in reference to word

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus am grateful for purpose of your word and will in everything that you have called me to do and to be in Jesus name Amen

One of the thing’s that you need to ask the Lord as you ride upon the pursuit of your future is that The Lord God Almighty will give you a heart to know Him

You need The Lord to give you a heart to know Him.

God talks to Jeremiah about the exiles that were deported from the land of Jerusalem as due to Zedekiah’s disobedience. God tells Jeremiah on how He would give these people a heart to know Him Jeremiah 24:7[7]And I will give them a heart to know (recognize, understand, and be acquainted with) Me, that I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.as thus may The Lord God Almighty give you a heart to know Him

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) What did The Lord say He would give to the people that had come from Jerusalem to Babylon

b) What is that which you are going to ask the Lord to give you

c) What is the applicability of this teaching in view as associated upon to our day to day life?

d) What lessons do you learn from the baskets of the bad and good figs as realised upon to context?

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I come before you today. I ask that you give me the heart to know you .To know you above everything Have ever known in Jesus name Amen.

WHY SAY YOU HAVE BEEN SENT BY THE LORD YET HE HASN’T SENT YOU

I have been with people who said God has spoken to me about this and that yet in actual sense God hasn’t spoken to them either

There are people who say they are prophesying to people that have not been actually sent by the Lord. They are like Shemiah the nehelamite who said that The Lord had spoken to him on how Zephaniah should replace Jehoidah which was thus a total lie and a predicament of false prophecy Jeremiah 29:25-27
[25]Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have sent letters in your [own] name to all the people who are in Jerusalem and to Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest and to all the priests, saying,26]The Lord has made you [Zephaniah] priest instead of Jehoiada the [deputy] priest, that you should have oversight in the house of the Lord over every madman who makes himself a prophet, that you should put him in the stocks and collar.[27]Now therefore [continued the letter from Shemaiah in Babylon to Zephaniah in Jerusalem], why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who makes himself a prophet to you?

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) According to our teaching in view, who pretended that God had spoken with Him yet The LORD had not spoken to Him for sure ?

b) Give an analysed perspective of due as realised on to reference?

c) What was God’s judgement concerning the man in view as a result of telling people that which was not from the mouth of the Lord ?

d) What would be some of your comments in view as replaced

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I pray that I will not be like Shemaiah ths nehelamite but that I will speak all that which you have instructed me to speak . Amen

Zedekiah FALLS ON ACCOUNT OF DISOBEDIENCE

According to thesis of knowledge, we realise that many people have fallen from their place of divine purpose due to disobedience to divine instructions

Those who were called Pastor’s are no longer pastor’s
Those who were called in to ministry are no longer in ministry.

When Zedekiah consulted the prophet of the Lord as due to what the Lord was saying when they met at the third entrance of the Lord’s temple. Jeremiah told the prophet that if at all he obeys the voice of the Lord.. it will be well with Him but if he doesn’t obey the voice of the Lord it won’t be well with Him Jeremiah 38:17-18[17]Then said Jeremiah to Zedekiah, Thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel: If you will go forth and surrender to the princes of the king of Babylon, then you will live and this city will not be burned with fire; and you will live–you and your house.[18]But if you will not go forth and surrender to the princes of the king of Babylon, then this city will be given into the hands of the Chaldeans and they will burn it with fire; and you will not escape out of their hands.

As a result of zedekiah’s disobedience to the instruction of the lord. His son’s were slaughtered before His eye’s, he was blinded and died in custody

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) Have you fallen from your place of divine purpose?

b) What is that which caused you to fall from your place of divine purpose?

c) What happened to Zedekiah king of Judah when he did not obey the voice of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet

d) What is the applicability of this teaching as reflected upon in perspective?

e) Give lessons you learn and percieve from our teaching

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I pray that you will give me the grace in all things to obey your voice in Jesus name amen

SPEAKING REBELLION AGAINST THE LORD

The predicament of the false prophet Hananiah was not just He was a false prophet but rather he taught to the people that which He wasn’t supposed to teach or say to Jeremiah

Some of us speak and teach rebellion against The Lord to people unknowingly.. we tell people a message which The Lord hasn’t given us just because we need their favours

It’s important for us not to contradict the word of God or the message that the Lord has given us to pass to the people howbeit in like matter so that we don’t experience the judgement of the Lord

Prophet Hananiah gave a false message saying that the yoke of Babylon would be broken in two years which wasn’t a message that had come from the Lord and because He spoke falsely The Lord said He would die that same year and just as The LORD said on how He would die that same year so He died that same year Jeremiah 28:1-3[1]IN THAT same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year and the fifth month, Hananiah son of Azzur, the [false] prophet, who was from Gibeon [one of the priests’ cities], said [falsely] to me in the house of the Lord in the presence of the priests and all the people:2]Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.3]Within two [full] years will I bring back into this place all the vessels of the Lord’s house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.

Jeremiah 28:15-17
[15]Then said the prophet Jeremiah to Hananiah the prophet, Listen now, Hananiah, The Lord has not sent you, but you have made this people trust in a lie. [16]Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will cast you from the face of the earth. This year you will die, because you have uttered and taught rebellion against the Lord.[17]So Hananiah the prophet died [two months later], the same year, in the seventh month.

Reflective questions about the teaching

a) According to our teaching in view, Who spoke rebellion against The Lord?

b) Who is prophet Hananiah as realised upon to context? Was He a true prophet of the Lord or He was a false prophet in making?

c) Underline some of the lessons you learn in view concerning our matter of word

Confession prayer

Dear Lord Jesus I come before you today and I choose that I will not speak rebellion against you amen
