WHY SAY YOU HAVE BEEN SENT BY THE LORD YET HE HASN’T SENT YOU

I have been with people who said God has spoken to me about this and that yet in actual sense God hasn’t spoken to them either

There are people who say they are prophesying to people that have not been actually sent by the Lord. They are like Shemiah the nehelamite who said that The Lord had spoken to him on how Zephaniah should replace Jehoidah which was thus a total lie and a predicament of false prophecy Jeremiah 29:25-27
[25]Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have sent letters in your [own] name to all the people who are in Jerusalem and to Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest and to all the priests, saying,26]The Lord has made you [Zephaniah] priest instead of Jehoiada the [deputy] priest, that you should have oversight in the house of the Lord over every madman who makes himself a prophet, that you should put him in the stocks and collar.[27]Now therefore [continued the letter from Shemaiah in Babylon to Zephaniah in Jerusalem], why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who makes himself a prophet to you?

Zedekiah FALLS ON ACCOUNT OF DISOBEDIENCE

According to thesis of knowledge, we realise that many people have fallen from their place of divine purpose due to disobedience to divine instructions

Those who were called Pastor’s are no longer pastor’s
Those who were called in to ministry are no longer in ministry.

When Zedekiah consulted the prophet of the Lord as due to what the Lord was saying when they met at the third entrance of the Lord’s temple. Jeremiah told the prophet that if at all he obeys the voice of the Lord.. it will be well with Him but if he doesn’t obey the voice of the Lord it won’t be well with Him Jeremiah 38:17-18[17]Then said Jeremiah to Zedekiah, Thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel: If you will go forth and surrender to the princes of the king of Babylon, then you will live and this city will not be burned with fire; and you will live–you and your house.[18]But if you will not go forth and surrender to the princes of the king of Babylon, then this city will be given into the hands of the Chaldeans and they will burn it with fire; and you will not escape out of their hands.

As a result of zedekiah’s disobedience to the instruction of the lord. His son’s were slaughtered before His eye’s, he was blinded and died in custody

SPEAKING REBELLION AGAINST THE LORD

The predicament of the false prophet Hananiah was not just He was a false prophet but rather he taught to the people that which He wasn’t supposed to teach or say to Jeremiah

Some of us speak and teach rebellion against The Lord to people unknowingly.. we tell people a message which The Lord hasn’t given us just because we need their favours

It’s important for us not to contradict the word of God or the message that the Lord has given us to pass to the people howbeit in like matter so that we don’t experience the judgement of the Lord

Prophet Hananiah gave a false message saying that the yoke of Babylon would be broken in two years which wasn’t a message that had come from the Lord and because He spoke falsely The Lord said He would die that same year and just as The LORD said on how He would die that same year so He died that same year Jeremiah 28:1-3[1]IN THAT same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year and the fifth month, Hananiah son of Azzur, the [false] prophet, who was from Gibeon [one of the priests’ cities], said [falsely] to me in the house of the Lord in the presence of the priests and all the people:2]Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.3]Within two [full] years will I bring back into this place all the vessels of the Lord’s house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.

Jeremiah 28:15-17
[15]Then said the prophet Jeremiah to Hananiah the prophet, Listen now, Hananiah, The Lord has not sent you, but you have made this people trust in a lie. [16]Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I will cast you from the face of the earth. This year you will die, because you have uttered and taught rebellion against the Lord.[17]So Hananiah the prophet died [two months later], the same year, in the seventh month.

OBEDIENCE TO THE LORD

OBEDIENCE TO THE LORD

ARE YOU REALLY DOING THAT WHICH WAS ASSIGNED TO YOUR LIFE PURPOSE BY GOD?

From a frontlined perspective as attributed by to context we realise that some people have not done what the Lord assigned to their life purpose

They are instead doing the opposite of what The Lord called them to do and walking along to the applause of the world whilst living contrary to divine purpose. They find it easy to obey their bosses other than the LORD

Many people find it easy to obey their pastor’s than the LORD

Many people find it easy to obey their parents more than the LORD. Then when we see. How about The Lord.

God gives an instruction to five kings which include

  • King of Edom
  • King of Moab
  • King of Ammonites
  • king of Tyre
  • king of Sidom. God tells them that whaoever doesn’t submit to Nebuchadnezzar. He will die by the sword, famine.. e t c e t c Jeremiah 27:8[8]But any nation or kingdom that will not serve this same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says the Lord, with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed it by [Nebuchadnezzar’s] hand.

However the most important of all is the

  • priority of God and what He has instructed you to do

This teaching gives an analysis of doing everything that The Lord has commanded us to do however much it may be difficult to understand or to comprehend in like manner .

The LORD told Jeremiah to make fetters and yoke bars Jeremiah 27:1-2[1]IN THE beginning of the reign of Zedekiah son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord:[2]Thus says the Lord to me: Make for yourself thongs and yoke bars and put them on your neck,Jeremiah 27:3
[3]And send them to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the Ammonites, to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon by the hand of the messengers who have come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah. He grew arrogant which led to his destruction 2 Chronicles 26:16[16]But when [King Uzziah] was strong, he became proud to his destruction; and he trespassed against the Lord his God, for he went into the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

WE SHOULDN’T FORGET WHERE OUR BLESSEDNESS CAME FROM

We shouldn’t forget were our blessedness came from.

We shouldn’t forget what the Lord did for us. We shouldn’t ever forget where the Lord got us from

The Israelites celebrated the passover as a monumental covenant and still do throughout all generations as due in view to remember the wonders God did for them

When you look at the word of God.. you realise that all the way from the old testament the Lord’s Passover was well celebrated. Hezekiah the king celebrated the passover in the second month even when he did not celebrate due to the unsanctity of the priest’s in the time that it was supposed to be celebrated . 2 Chronicles 30:1-3[1]HEZEKIAH SENT to all Israel [as well as] Judah and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh to come to the Lord’s house at Jerusalem to keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel.[2]For the king and his princes and all the assembly in Jerusalem took counsel to keep the Passover in the second month. [Num. 9:10, 11.][3]For they could not keep it at the set time because not enough priests had sanctified themselves, neither had the people assembled in Jerusalem.

From a meditative clause, we realise that there are so many thing’s that provoke The Lord to anger one of it all being sin

We percieve that God can be provoked to anger. just like you can be angered by a neighbour who didn’t treat you well even the Lord too can be angered

Many time’s we provoke The LORD to anger unknowingly . We provoke the Lord to anger through our evil way just like the people of Judah provoked the Lord to anger Jeremiah 44:3[3]Because of the wickedness which they committed, provoking Me to anger in that they went to burn incense to serve other gods that they did not know–neither they, nor you, nor your fathers.as to thus we shouldn’t provoke the Lord to anger

Do not Hold back a word.

When God gives you a word for a certain individual or congregation

Some time’s when The Lord gives us a message to tell people we always want to second it through various phrases of Human opinions

When The Lord gives you a message that you should deliver to someone as realised upon to appropriation of due or to a group of people, You must deliver it to that person or to that congregation according to the way The Lord has given it to you

You shouldn’t add or subtract anything from the message that The Lord has given you

When The Lord told Jeremiah to stand in the courtyard of the Lord’s temple and tell the people of the cities of Judah who were coming to worship there. The LORD told Him not to hold back any word. In other wards to formalise everything that the Lord had instructed Him to tell the people that were coming to worship the Lord there whether they would embrace this message or not. Jeremiah 26:2[2]Thus says the Lord: Stand in the court of the Lord’s house [Jeremiah] and speak to all [the people of] the cities of Judah who come to worship in the Lord’s house all the words that I command you to speak to them; subtract not a word.
