We realise that God gave specific instructions regarding the conduct of priests and how they were supposed to conduct themselves in a nutshell
Priests were commanded not to drink wine or alcohol before entering the tabernacle and violating this command regarding alcohol consumption would result in death for the priests.Leviticus 10:8-9
[8]And the Lord said to Aaron,[9]Do not drink wine or strong drink, you or your sons, when you go into the Tent of Meeting, lest you die; it shall be a statute forever in all your generations.
And so we realise upon to due of word concerning what priests needed to do and that which they were forbidden from doing and so this warning against alcohol still applies to us in view today regarding the instructions God has given us to beseech
