From perspective, We realize that it’s crucial to be mindful of your actions once you’ve been lifted by the Lord.
If you stray into wrongdoing after experiencing God’s uplifting hand, you might just find yourself facing His judgment. Take the story of Baasha, the King of Israel, for instance. God lifted him from the dust to become a ruler of His people.1 Kings 16:2
[2]Because I exalted you [Baasha] out of the dust and made you leader over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins,
But what did Baasha do after this divine elevation? Instead of following the Lord’s path, he decided to go against God’s will, leading others into sin.
This provoked the Lord’s anger to such an extent that He declared, “Anyone from Baasha’s family who dies in the city will be devoured by dogs, and those who die in the fields will be eaten by vultures!”1 Kings 16:3-4 3]Behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house, and will make your house like [that] of Jeroboam son of Nebat.4]Any of Baasha’s family who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and any who dies in the field the birds of the heavens shall eat.
Talk about a dramatic consequence! Now, let’s reflect on some questions from this teaching:

c) In what ways did God show His judgment in Baasha’s life?
