It is essential to understand that you cannot fully overcome something’s in your life without dedicating yourself to the LORD. True victory comes when you commit your life entirely to God’s purpose.
At Mizpah, the Israelites, who had previously wasted their lives in the worship of false gods, renewed their commitment to the LORD through prayer and fasting.1 Samuel 7:5-65]Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah and I will pray to the Lord for you.
[6]So they gathered at Mizpah and drew water and poured it out before the Lord and fasted on that day and said there, We have sinned against the Lord. And Samuel judged the Israelites at Mizpah.
They turned away from these small gods, and as a result, God granted them a miraculous victory over the Philistines.
