Many individuals engage in extreme criticism directed specifically at men of God.Critics frequently focus their judgment on the personal attire and clothing choices of men of God.The lifestyle choices and daily living habits of men of God are common targets for public scrutiny.
People actively criticize the way men of God manage and conduct their religious ministries.
There is a persistent and continuous stream of negative commentary regarding the actions and decisions of men of God.
The Bible provides historical and spiritual perspective on the consequences of criticizing spiritual leaders.Aaron and Miriam are cited as biblical examples of individuals who openly criticized Moses specifically because he married a Cushite woman.Numbers 12:1-2,10[1]NOW MIRIAM and Aaron talked against Moses [their brother] because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite woman.
[2]And they said, Has the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? Has He not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.
[10]And when the cloud departed from over the Tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. And Aaron looked at Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous!
The criticism leveled against Moses provoked anger from the Lord and as a direct consequence of her negative words against Moses, Miriam was afflicted with leprosy.
We are warned about the divine displeasure associated with speaking ill of spiritual leaders.
