From a relatable conceptualization of our teaching in view, we realise that it is essential to highly esteem men of God based on the principle of precedence.
Men of God must be respected regardless of their specific identity, ministry, or capacity of life. Many people in modern times take their men of God for granted far more than they should. Some individuals mistakenly presume men of God to be merely their brothers in view.
When called by a man of God, one should respond and come to him immediately.
One must never question the authenticity of a man of God when summoned.
The Bible provides historical perspective and precedent regarding how people respond to spiritual leaders. The scriptures acknowledge a specific historical account involving Moses, Dathan, and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram refused to come when summoned by Moses.
Numbers 16:12-13[12]And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and they said, We will not come up.[13]Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness, but you must also make yourself a prince over us?
The refusal of Dathan and Abiram was an act of direct disobedience.
Their disobedience was influenced by their feelings regarding what Moses had done to them and so The biblical account serves as a warning against disobeying spiritual authority.
