One of the most significant issues plaguing us today is the rise of false prophets. It seems we have an abundance of them, each spinning their own tales of prophecy, often based on personal philosophies rather than divine inspiration from the Spirit of the Lord. Remember when the Lord instructed Ezekiel to prophesy against the false prophets of Israel? They were busy concocting their own prophecies, and God was not pleased.
He made it clear that His hand was against them. In Ezekiel 13:5, it states, “You have not gone up into the gaps or breeches, nor built up the wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.” Furthermore, God warned that His hand would strike those who spread empty, false, and delusive visions, providing misleading prophecies. They would not be part of His people’s secret council, nor would they be recorded in the annals of Israel, and they certainly wouldn’t step foot into the land of Israel. This serves as a reminder that we must understand and realize that He is the Lord God.
